My name is Ahmed Abu Al-Atta, and my family is struggling to survive in northern Gaza after losing my father in this brutal war. We are five people—my mother, my three younger brothers, and me.
We had to leave our home during the fighting, only to return and find it completely destroyed. Now, we sleep in a makeshift tent, but the harsh winds and cold have made it unbearable. My youngest brother, Maad, only 7 years old, suffers from ear problems due to the deafening explosions.
We have no clean water, no steady food supply, and no aid is reaching us. Organizations send help, but it does not come to us for weeks. Right now, we just want to buy drinking water for my brothers and keep warm through the freezing nights.
Since my father was taken from us, my little brothers have suffered so much. Every day is a fight for survival.
